#TILFT (after covid)

A lot of you (including myself) are experiencing stress, anxiety, fear, and hopelessness because of this worldwide pandemic. 2020 greeted us with all things unexpected and somewhat scared the living sh*t out of us, right. Volcanic erruptions, earthquakes, protests, bombing, and of course this VIRUS.

Our faith and patience were tested. Our goals and plans were temporarily suspended. From travels to get togethers. Everything around us stopped and it seemed like our life, too. We were refrained from going out and seeing our relatives and friends. Parties were banned and not permitted. Some were (unfortunately) fired from work and can do nothing about it. It only adds up from the stress we are already dealing. We were slowly adapting to the said new normal.

I used to overthink things. There were times i do feel okay and positive about what's happening, but more often than not, i feel the contrary. So in order to calm myself, i read articles on how to manage stress given by this pandemic. One topic that has caughty attention was this #TILFT - Things i Look Forward To - and it really is helpful. It gave me the positive outlook and hope that one day, everything will go back to its normal place.

Here are the #TILFT (doing after CoVid) :

1. Hang out with the Bestfriends.

I miss my squad. Super. After this crisis, we truly deserve to eat out, go to the beach, do random coffee dates, and go for long drives.

When was the last time you hang out with your friends?

2. Travel.

I always wanted to see new places. I would love to experience what it be like to roam around NYC.

Last travel history: HK, Winter 2019

3. Home Construction.

This pandemic affected more people especially their livelihood. And that includes me. My home in Cavite was turned over to me last March 5. Days before the lockdown. And for few months now, it hasn't been constructed and furnished. Obviously, budget has been tight because we didn't work for how many months. It was actually one of those things that really stressed me out. I'm super excited to move in but given the situation, i guess it will take time. In God's perfect time.

What does your dream house look like?

4. Get a New Tattoo.

I already have 4 tatts on my body. Upper back, wrist, right side of the stomach, right side almost under boob. But i still look forward to having my next ink with my sister. We already have the design. I was thinking of having 2 new tatts actually. One with my sister, and another one for me being a Mother.

What are your opinions about skin ink?

5. The ear piercing continues.

Last december, my sister and I had our matching ear pierce but mine got infected and so i needed to take it out. Haven't been wearing earrings until now. Na-trauma ata ako? Lol.

What are the things you do with your sibs?

6. Kids to the Beach.

One place that calms me? Beach. I made it a habit that at least once or twice a year my kids could go swimming. Also, it would be Caleb's first beach experience. :)

Are you more of a Sunset or a Sunrise person?

I know there'll be tons of things we look forward to doing after this Pandemic. I hope you could also list down yours and reread them so you'd feel inspired and hopeful in times when everything around us seems hopeless.

Stay safe, people! 😊

P.S.

If there is one good thing that this current sitch has given me, it is TIME. Extra time for my family, for my self, and for my books. Thankful that i've been reading more books now than my usual. 👌
